Unit 4: Byzantine and Carolingian Empires

With this unit we shall enter in the contents of History (after the three previous units about Geography). More accurately, we will study a new stage in the History of mankind: the Middle Ages, the 1,000 years of History that happened from the fall of the Western Roman Empire (476 A.D.) to the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire (or Byzantine Empire) in 1,456.
